Crowley tried to pass a bill repealing Wisconsin’s ban on abortion after 20 weeks – and now he’s trying to do it again.
Wisconsin generally bans abortion after 20 weeks, except when the mother’s life is in danger. David Crowley sponsored a bill that would repeal that law, and replace it with a broad rule that would allow elective abortion throughout pregnancy. When a reporter asked him recently if he would support getting rid of that law, Crowley argued that there should be no law limiting when abortions can happen at all.
02
Crowley supports requiring taxpayer funding of abortion.
In the Wisconsin legislature, Crowley signed on to a resolution promising to ensure that government health funding “covers abortion care.”
03
Crowley voted against protections for babies born alive after a botched abortion attempt.
Every year, some babies survive an attempted abortion and are born alive. Wisconsin tried to clarify that these babies should be treated the same as wanted babies born alive at a similar age and in a similar medical condition. Crowley voted NO.
04
Crowley voted against a ban on sex-selection abortions.
When Crowley says there should be no law on abortion, he means it. When a bill came up to ban abortions that are done solely because the baby is a boy or a girl, Crowley voted NO.
05
Crowley signed onto legislation opposing “limits on who can perform an abortion”
When Crowley says he wants to be an “accomplice” to abortion, he means it. In the legislature, he supported a resolution opposing any “limits on who can perform abortions,” and he supported a bill to remove Wisconsin’s requirement that abortion providers actually be physicians.
06
Crowley won’t support any line on abortion – not even when the baby can survive outside the womb
Even when he was directly asked, Crowley couldn’t name a single abortion limit he would support. Not at 20 weeks, not at viability, not anywhere. Instead, he argued that abortion should be legal whenever any abortion provider wants to perform it – no matter how late.

Crowley’s abortion backers tell candidates to defend late-term, sex-selection, and even partial-birth abortion.
The major abortion groups supporting Crowley tell candidates to defend sex-selection abortion, partial-birth abortion, and late-term abortion for any reason whatsoever – all funded by tax dollars.
